Purée de Tomate - Cooking like a Boss

This historical tomato soup pre-dates vegetarianism and therefor contains ham. It's also supposed to be fancy, so contains shallots and is named in french. Smoked ham is preferred. Add more ham and cream to taste. Generous portions. Adapted from this Glen and Friend's video.
